At Naledi's apartment .

She jumps off the car and opens the backseat , she unbuckles Keitumetse and carries her in her arms . She walks inside and unlocks the door with her access card , she walks over to the couch and carefully places her and covers her with the fleece .

Keitumetse : mommy ..

Naledi : yes baby ?

Keitumetse : I'm hungry .

Naledi : what should mommy prepare for you ?

Keitumetse : I want .. I want a burger .

Naledi : and ?

Keitumetse : fries and juice .

Naledi : okay my little baby , let me turn the TV on for you .

Keitumetse sits up straight and yawns , such an adorable little baby .

Naledi : what are you watching ?

Keitumetse : Cocomelon .

Naledi : okay my baby .

She puts on cocomelon for her and places the remote on the table , she then walks to the kitchen and starts preparing her burger and fries . Being a mother has always been Naledi's greatest experience , giving birth to Keitumetse is a gift she'll never stop being grateful for . Now her baby is growing more cuter and happier , she's just 5 and adorable .

Naledi : do you want the BBQ sauce ?

Keitumetse : yes , and the ketchup .

She finishes making her burger and fries then makes her favorite mango juice . She places the food on a tray and walks to her ..

Naledi : here you go honey .

Keitumetse : thank you mommy .

Naledi : you're welcome sweetie , now you eat your food and finish it okay ?

Keitumetse : okay .

Naledi : let me go and change .

She walks to her bedroom and takes off her heels , she strips naked and walks to the bathroom . All she needs right now is a long relaxing shower but also not forgetting that she left Keitumetse all alone in the lounge .

She gets in the shower and begins showering . After what felt like forever , she steps out of the shower and wraps a towel around her body . She then walks out of the bathroom and dries herself . She lotions herself and wears her grey sweatpants with her black vest . She puts on her sleepers and walks back to the lounge .

Naledi : are you finished eating baby ?

Keitumetse : I'm full .. I can't eat no more .

Naledi : eh .. you didn't even eat half .

Keitumetse : I'm seriously full mommy .

Naledi : okay then .. let me eat your food then .

She sits next to her and eats her food ..

Naledi : how was your day ?

Keitumetse : I played alot , it was good .

Naledi : I'm glad .. your daddy is going to come and pick you up so you can spend the weekend with him okay ?

Keitumetse : but I want to spend the weekend with you mommy .. why am I always spending the weekend with daddy ?

Naledi : because I'm always with you during the week while your father works . He's free on weekends and I'm not , so he prefers to take you on weekends only .

Keitumetse : but you promised we'd watch trolls .

Naledi : we'll watch trolls once you return my love .. okay ?

She sighs and nods .

Naledi : don't be upset .

Keitumetse : I just don't like dad's new girlfriend .. she's rude .

Naledi : he has a girlfriend ?

Keitumetse : he said so . She talks rudely towards me and she always tells me to pick up my toys after using them .

Naledi : oh .. what's her name ?

Keitumetse : Vuyelwa .

She nods .

Naledi : I'll talk to him okay ? Vuyelwa won't mistreat you .

Keitumetse : okay mommy .

There's a ring on the door , Naledi stands up and walks to the door . She opens the door ..

Naledi : Andile ..

Andile : hey .

Naledi : come in ..

Andile : is she ready ?

Naledi : we just arrived .

She lets him in and they walk to the lounge .

Andile : my baby .

Keitumetse : hi daddy .

Andile : how are you ?

Keitumetse : I'm fine .

He sits on the couch and sighs ..

Naledi : I didn't there was a Vuyelwa in the picture .

Andile : huh ?

Naledi : Tumi .. go get your overnight bag , it's ready .

Keitumetse : okay .

She jumps off the couch and runs to the bedroom . Naledi glances at Andile ..

Naledi : when were you going to tell me that you're in a relationship ?

Andile : I was gonna tell you .

Naledi : when Andile ? I have to hear this from Keitumetse now ?

Andile : I was waiting for the right time .

Naledi : Keitumetse tells me that your girlfriend mistreats her .

Andile : I've reprimanded her .

Naledi : so it is true ?

Andile : it has stopped .

Naledi : Andile .. I'm not going to let my child go and get mistreated when she has a loving mother and a warm home .

Andile : I know and I'm sorry ... but she's not at my house for the weekend so we'll be good .

Naledi : I hope so .

He chuckles .

Andile : you're spitting fire .

Naledi : you know I'd do anything to protect Keitumetse .

Andile : I know ... I saw you won another case .

Naledi : (sighs) I did .

Andile : how cool ..

Naledi : it was a tough one but I did it .

Andile : you always do it .

Naledi : I guess so ..

Andile : how's the building going ?

She sighs .

Naledi : it's going well .. I just want them to move here as soon as possible . It's been 10 months now ..

Andile : you're building a double storey Naledi , of course it's gonna take long .

Naledi : and they don't even know .

Andile : they're gonna be proud , certainly .

Naledi : I hope so ..

Keitumetse : here's my bag ..

They glance at her ..

Andile : does it have everything ?

Naledi : yeah .. her iPad is in there and the charger as well .

Andile : okay , I think I should get going now .

Naledi : okay then .. come give mommy a hug .

She giggles walking to her and hugging her , Naledi kisses her forehead ...

Naledi : behave .

Keitumetse : of course I'll behave as long as daddy buys me ice cream .

Naledi : no ice cream for you , you'll get a sugar rush .

Keitumetse : but ..

Andile : one scoop will be fine .

Naledi sighs and nods . Andile stands up and grabs Tumi's bag .

Andile : see you on Sunday then .

Naledi : yeah , take care .

Andile : lets go buddy .

Keitumetse : bye mommy I love you .

Naledi : I love you more and more my sweetheart .

Both Andile and Keitumetse walk out of the door , Naledi sighs and stands up . She folds the fleece and places it down . Her phone rings in the kitchen , she walks over to it and answers .

Naledi : hello ?

Kutlwano : hey ... congrats on the case . Wanna grab drinks ?

Naledi : uhm .. I'm pretty tired .

Kutlwano : well I'm your boss and I say we're going to grab drinks .

Naledi : haa ?

Kutlwano : and also wanna tell you that you have another case in your hands .

Naledi : another one ?

Kutlwano : yes , a 23 year old raped a high school student who was on her way back home .

She clenches her jaw .

Naledi : how's the victim ?

Kutlwano : traumatized , she attempted to commit suicide but her mother saved her .

Naledi : hmm .. who's the rapist ?

Kutlwano : Luyolo Dlamini , the youngest son of the Dlamini family .

Naledi : the Dlamini family ?

Kutlwano : don't you know them ?

Naledi : nah ..

Kutlwano : well ... which planet do you live in ? They're one of the richest family in the country .

Naledi : well .. I want to see where this goes .

Kutlwano : be careful , Langelihle Dlamini is a beast .

Naledi : who's that ?

Kutlwano : the middle brother who's also a lawyer and who's representing his younger brother .

Naledi rolls her eyes .

Naledi : will he get past me though ? I never failed my rape victims .

Kutlwano : he has never failed his family .

Naledi : arg I'm not afraid of him .. he can come gun blazing but I'm not scared .

Kutlwano : he has never lost a case .

Naledi : he'll lose the case to me then , that'll be a first .

Kutlwano : I love your confidence .

She giggles .

Naledi : Naledi Thahane can't step into the court and not be confident boss .

Kutlwano : I hear you , get here in 20 minutes then .

Naledi : fine .

She hangs up and walks to her bedroom .. she just won a case and has another one already ? does rape ever end though ?
