Chapter 12: Family Divided

The revelation of the twins’ true parentage had sent shockwaves through the family, fracturing the once-united household into warring factions. Sipho, devastated by the betrayal, had retreated into himself, his pride and pain driving a wedge between him and Thandiwe. The smother-in-law Nomvula, Zinhle, and Nomsa the sisters in-law had wasted no time in taking his side, their long-held resentment toward Thandiwe now given free rein.

Nomvula: “How could she do this to you, Sipho?” 

Nomvula had said, her voice dripping with indignation. “She’s disgraced this family. She’s disgraced you.” Zinhle and Nomsa had echoed her sentiments, their voices rising in a chorus of condemnation. 

Zinhle: “She’s always thought she was better than us, and now look what she’s done. She’s destroyed everything.”
