CHAPTER [ 37 ]

KHETHOKUHLE MHLONGO

l tip the uber driver before walking out , and there she is wearing her maxi dress and sandals ...her her tied into a bun with books in her hand . l walk closer to her and she runs at me the moment she notices me and hugs me l do the same too ... I don't know why but everyday Oratile blesses me with warms hugs .

Oratile: Ntombazan l thought you going to be late , lve been waiting you know

Khetho : and hello to you friend ( smiles)

Oratile : hi ( giggles) you didn't have to do that l was going to greet muc

Khetho : Yeah right , so you were saying you've been waiting did danger drop you off before he went to campus?

Oratile : oh no l came with an uber l juy wanted to be an early bird

Khetho : ( chuckles ) and you indeed succeeded in being one

Oratile: ( rolling her eyes) yeah right , let's go for our class before those lecturers bite our head for being late .

khetho: They're a pain in the ass if you ask me ( giggles) anyways see you during lunch then

Oratile : lunch it is .

We then part our ways attending our classes

....

[LUNCH]

We already seated at our favorite chilling place having some fries and burgers we were injoying our chats until these three girls standing infront of us like we owe them something

Girl 1 : The way you looking at us , lve picked that you don't remember any of us

Khetho : is there any reason why we should remembering you ... are you John legend's new girlfriends?

l ask sarcastically and Oratile chuckles

"WHAT? NO!"

Khetho : indeed , so now is there any reason why we should remembering you .

Girl 2 : l see you still bitter ma'Mhlongo !

she said emphasizing the last part and l kind of look at them ...

Khetho : ( chuckles) oh if it isn't the three musketeers

Oratile : the girls from almost 3 years back look like they still childish .

Girl 3 : who said we childish ? ( rolling her eyes)

Oratile : no one needs to say so , l mean your behaviors say so and l must say it's not attractive .

Khetho : Tell them ... l mean why you even standing infront of us like we owe you something ?

Girl 3 : ( clears throat) you know what we don't need to explain ourselves to you people .. let's go guys

Girl 1 : watch your backs

This one is surely crazy , threatening me nxx . They all walk away and lm left with Oratile chuckling not believing these girls ...our lunch is even ruined .

We did attend our classes after lunch and now we wait for Scelo outside campus . I see his silver Corolla Altis park infront of us ...well he got it as an 18th birthday present last year . We walk towards the car and lm surprised to see Mandla come out of the car too ... Yes they do know Scelo because of Langa and l know the guys because of Langa . they walk towards us and Scelo immediately takes me into his arms

Scelo : My Khethokuhle ( smirking)

Khetho: Mfo'ka Majola ( giggles)

Mandla : hay sisakhona phela

we all chuckle

Khetho : well besingazi ukuthi uyeza phela .. we had already planned to kiss the hell out of each other infront of Oratile you know ...

Oratile : sies Lona

Scelo : ( laughs) she's joking anyways bhuti Langa asked Mandla to come with me l don't even know why

Khetho : he's still suffocating even if he's not in my presence nxx ! anyways Mandla this is my friend Oratile .... Oratile meet Mandla ...

Mandla : lts a pleasure to meet you ( extending his hand for a hand shake)

Oratile takes his hand smiling and she then freezes for a moment and pulls back Mandla frowns noticing that .

Khetho : ( clears throat) let's get into the car everyone

Scelo : sure

I sit on the passenger side while Mandla and Oratile sit at the back looking all lost . Scelo starts the car and l put some music because the tension at the back is heavy on me
