CHAPTER 1

#1

MIGCOBO "MIMO" CEMBI

I walked down the road from my place the place I used to call home. It was once filled with joy laughter and love but now it's a reminder of those sweet memorable moments and the unpleasant present. Now I cry myself to sleep bleed on those white marble floors with my heart breaking every moment of my life.

I'm startled by a convoy of cars parking besides me. I stop panicking I don't want to be one of the many woman who go missing without any leads I know for a fact they wouldn't care even if I don't come back.

"Migcobo Cembi."

A voice says as the tinted window of a black suv goes down. I swallow nothingness as the face comes to light. I know this man anyone who cares about the affairs of our entertainment industry knows this man. He's nothing like the other big bellied business man in this country.

He's tall dark and really good looking with his shallow smile and white pearly teeth. He's always on the news as he's the current director of Maxhosa Entertainment. They're everywhere movies, music and fashion with his younger sister now venturing in the beauty business they're taking South Africa by storm.

Imagine my shock when he calls me by my birth name without even blinking. I know my cousin used to work for his brother Lionel as a PA but it didn't last if you know my cousin you'll understand why. I've never met him in person never thought I would. I'm sure I look like a clown right now. The back door opens.

"Get in."

"Me?"

"Yes make it quick."

I jump in with my hands sweating and the freaking butterflies are having a party in my belly. God the car smells amazing its really him. He's looking at me with a stoic expression on his perfect face. His wife is a lucky woman imagine waking up to this view every day I would bask in it and make him the happiest man.

"Why are you out here so late?"

"I was taking a walk."

"Are you in a hurry to go back home?"

"No."

"Let's take a stroll then. Levy to my penthouse please."

The car takes of and its silent inside but it's not uncomfortable other than the flutters on my stomach each time I inhale his cologne. The car stops in front of the tallest building in CBD. He gets out first as his driver helps me out of the car. We walk inside with his entourage following behind me as I'm hot on his tale.

If it is that d-day please lord take me straight to my parents I miss them so much. He uses his thumb to open the private elevator and we both get in.

"They're not coming with?"

"No."

He says almost dismissively I keep my mouth shut as the elevator takes us to the second last floor when the doors open I gasp in awe. This place is amazing the floor to ceiling glasses over looking each of the beautiful skyscrapers around it. The bustling streets of Johannesburg look like a distant dream up here. The interior is nice but dull.

"Welcome to my safe heaven."

"It's breathtaking."

"Like you."

I chuckle as a blush creeps in if I was any shade lighter I would be red by now. I look out the window avoiding to look at him. I can feel his eyes on me but I don't turn around to look at him I don't trust myself enough to not jump him. I've had a crush on this guy even though he's 17 years older than I am.

"I have a proposal for you." He says looking right at me. I shift uncomfortably on the couch the way he's looking at me is...I don't know hot and bothering I guess are the words to describe it.

"Proposal? Sorry how do you know me?" I have to ask just to be sure this man knows both my name and surname I just have to ask.

"I know you through you cousin. Satisfied?" I nod and he sighs relieved? I'm not sure.

"I want you."

He says matter of factly looking right at me. I gulp down saliva looking everywhere but him. I heard him but... He wants me how? He has a wife and I'm not the type to be in a polygamous relationship.

"I don't understand. "

"I have needs that my wife can't satisfy I need you for those. I'll take care of every need you'll have for the duration of our set up."

We sit in silence for a while I've never heard of this I never in a million years thought there would ever be something like this happening to me. I looked at this man taking him in he's handsome, gorgeously handsome. Thinking of the way things are at home makes this arrangement seem like my fairytale ending but I know better than to think like that this man is married.

I'll be his side chick someone he sees in the dark without the world seeing. Other than that his life is in the spotlight he doesn't need something like this getting out to the public.

"Whay am I getting out of this arrangement?"

"Anything you want."

"I need a place to stay and an allowance. "

"You can have this place I'm barely here anyways."

"In my name?"

"Yes."

"Okay then I accept this arrangement but we'll have to have it in paper."

"The less people who know the better I'll write an agreement we won't involve lawyers though. "

"As long as I have it in writing I'm okay."

"When are you moving in?"

"Tomorrow. "

The sooner the better I've had enough of Njabulo with her siblings and mother.
