It has been a day since Orapeleng has left the house, and the family is already missing her. Queen Semakaleng and King Karabo sat stiffly before the silent television, the empty space where Orapeleng once lounged glaringly obvious. King Karabo’s voice was rough with regret. "This house is a tomb without her." Queen Semakaleng’s hands clenched. "We had no choice. She was our only child to give." He rose abruptly. "I must go." Her eyes narrowed. "To your other wife?" He sighed. "Only to work. I swear it." But his quick departure left suspicion coiling in the air.
