THE SUGAR BIRDS OF ESHOWE

In the sugarcane valleys of Eshowe, two Zulu boys Thando, who has spent years burying his heart, and Sipho, who has spent years losing everything else circle each other through the small, suffocating intimacy of village life, where every glance is witnessed and every silence is heard. As illness, faith, and the weight of tradition close in around them, they must decide whether to let the space between mornings finally collapse into something real or lose each other forever to the things neither of them has learned to say.
