Naledi Molefe had always lived a careful life.
At nineteen, she had just started her first year of studying medicine at university. While many students were busy partying and exploring freedom, Naledi preferred quiet evenings in the library or long phone calls with her parents.
Her mother, Dr. Lindiwe Molefe, was a respected dermatologist who owned a successful clinic. Her father, Thabo Molefe, worked as a data scientist and spent most of his days analyzing complex data models for international companies.
Naledi had grown up in a safe, structured home.
Her parents loved her deeply, but they had also sheltered her. She had never been to a party, never stayed out late, and definitely never gone to a club.
Her best friend Lerato thought that needed to change.
