Being a married woman is more or less like signing your own death warranty. Generations and times might have changed, but no married woman doesn't know that. "Kuya nyamezelwa emtshatweni." You endure or are expected to endure whatever is thrown at you. No matter how bad it is, women will stay, at some point the man is the one that chooses to leave. No one ever understands bad actions a woman makes that are influenced by their marriages. They're expected to endure whatever nonsense the mother-in- law, brother -in -laws or whomever throws at them. However, when they retaliate they're referred to as evil. But that's being a woman and there's absolutely no way to change the narrative,as long as other people meddle in marriages that have nothing to do with them. A woman gets beaten by their husband, but are expected to be awake at the wee hours of morning all in the name of marriage. A man cheats and impregnates as many women as they want, the wife is expected to love those kids like her own. Married woman live with constant pain and hurt, well unless you're fortunate enough. Other than that women enter marriage knowing exactly that the above are possible.
Unfortunately this story isn't one where the wife endures pain out of respect, but pain changes her. She's called Umfa Esazi.
