Years after his brother's death, Mdali learns that Mizwa left behind a letter, and a secret. In the letter, Mizwa reveals that he left a pregnant woman in Johannesburg, and he instructs Mdali to bring her home, make her his wife, and give his son their family name.
But Mdali already has a woman he loves.
When the ancestors begin to interfere, determined to see Mizwa's wishes fulfilled, Mdali finds himself torn between duty and desire, tradition and love. Will he continue to follow his heart? Or surrender to the fate the ancestors have chosen for him?
