CHAPTER 9
NGWENYA
Ngwenya stepped out of his office building, lost in thought. As he walked down the sidewalk, he collided with a familiar figure.Nombulelo?
Her eyes flashed with anger, then softened into a sugary smile.
"Ngwenya, darling! Fancy running into you," Nombulelo cooed.
Ngwenya's expression remained neutral. "Nombulelo."
Nombulelo's gaze lingered on his face, her eyes searching for a glimmer of weakness.
"What brings you here?" Ngwenya asked, polite but distant.
Nombulelo shrugged, her shoulders barely rising. "Just visiting a friend. ” Ngwenya's eyes narrowed. He knew better than to trust Nombulelo's innocent act.
"Well, enjoy your visit," Ngwenya said, turning to leave.
Nombulelo's voice stopped him. "Ngwenya, wait."
He turned back, his expression guarded.
"You're really moving on, aren't you?" Nombulelo's voice dripped with venom.
Ngwenya's jaw clenched. "What are you talking about?"
Nombulelo's smile grew wider. "Orearabetswe. I know all about her."
Ngwenya's eyes flashed with warning. "Leave Ore alone, Nombulelo."
Nombulelo chuckled, a cold, mirthless sound.
"We'll see about that."
Here's the continuation:
OREARABETSWE
I trudged to our meeting spot, my mind still reeling from Ms. Moyo's accusations and Lerato's reassurance.Ngwenya was already there, leaning against his car, his expression brooding.
"Hey," he said, his voice low and rough.
"Hey," I replied, sensing his tension.
We stood there, unspeaking, the air thick with unspoken emotions.
Ngwenya broke the silence. "I had a run-in with Nombulelo today."
My heart skipped a beat. "What happened?"
Ngwenya's jaw clenched. "She knows about us. And she's not happy."
I felt a shiver run down my spine.
But before I could respond, Ngwenya asked, "What's wrong? You seem off.”
I hesitated, unsure if I should share Ms. Moyo's rumors.
But something in Ngwenya's eyes told me to trust him.
"Ms. Moyo said some things about your family," I began.
Ngwenya's expression darkened. "What did she say?"
I took a deep breath and told him everything.
Ngwenya listened intently, his face growing increasingly stormy.
When I finished, he pulled me close.
"I'll tell you everything, Ore. But know this: I'll never let anyone hurt you." I slightly nod I have to trust my man , he holds my hands into his and we stare into each other's eyes “ I love you Ore ” my cheeks are turning red from all the blushing .
His cold lips smash into mine and a sense of relief washes over me , I respond to his kiss and he pulls me to his lap without breaking the kiss . His tongue is fighting with mine as he devours my lips I slowly pull out catching my breath “ your lips taste nice ” my hands are still on his chest “ I love you too Mnguni ”
