TWO QUEENS IN MY CASTLE 24

THANDEKA

The sun is up and the birds are chirping. I didn't think I'd sleep so peacefully in someone else's bed and wake up with no regrets. We had *** three times last night and damn I smell like sh*t. He's not in the room, I just lie down for a few minutes and reminisce about everything that we did and spoke about last night. I check my phone for any messages then tidy up the bed and open the curtains and windows. I wear his robe and pick up my underwear from the floor and slide it into the pocket, I'll wash it when I take a bath.

Leaving the room, I bump into Oratilwe in the passage. She's not shocked to see me but rather curious. I know she's going to ask a lot of questions but right now I just need to soak myself and wash off her brother's semen on my body.

"Hi," she greets with her eyebrows raised and a faint smile.

"Ora," I faintly return the smile.

"Kabelo is out but he should be back any minute. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Toiletries please. I just need to quick bath before I go home," I say.

"Everything is in the bathroom but we don't have a spare toothbrush."

"It's alright I'll brush my teeth at home. Thank you," I leave her gawking and make my way to the bathroom.

KABELO

I get home from the store with everything we might need for breakfast.

"I hope Thandeka is still here. She was sleeping when I left."

"Madam T is still locked in the bathroom taking her time to bath and I'm pressed to pee," she says.

"Watch your mouth. I thought you liked her," I say.

"I do like her but I'm just not keen with your idea of bringing two different women in dad's house," she fiddles with the grocery bags.

"I don't mean to be disrespectful towards you but it's my house now as a boy child."

"Wow!" She chuckles.

"Don't take it the wrong way. You know what I mean," I say.

"I totally get your point Mr house owner. It's okay, you can host your polygamy in the house. Who am I to say anything?"

"Don't forget how you f*cked that good for nothing man right outside our gate and got Ma killed," I snap.

"So we always have to go there? I'm still trying to heal and forget about this whole ordeal but you keep taking me back to it," she holds tears in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, Ora. I wasn't thinking before I spoke. I didn't mean to open up wounds I'm just..."

"Save it. I know I caused Ma's death and it'll haunt me all my life no matter what I do. You don't have to remind me because it's already eating me up day and night," she walks out. Thandeka is standing by the lounge door, she probably heard everything.

"Baby," I clear my throat.

"That was not cool baby," she walks closer to the table and helps me unpack.

"I know. I tend to speak without thinking and I'll apologize properly later. Did you have a good night sleep?" I hold her waist.

"Mmh. I slept like a baby," she wraps her arms around my neck.

"Let's make breakfast then resume on our last session."

"No! I've already taken a bath and I can't take another one. I need to go home," she pulls away.

"You live down the road baby come on. What's the rush?"

"No more ***," she emphasizes. She helps me with breakfast then I walk her home.

YOLANDA

Ray is here. He did the exact opposite of what I what I asked, showing up on my doorstep unannounced.

"What the hell?"

"I'm sorry. I know what you said but I wanted to surprise you," he gives me a bouquet of flowers.

"How did you even know I'm home?"

"I passed by your workplace and they told me that you're home feeling sick." I let him in.

"I have the flu and you decided to get me flowers. Wow!" I throw them on the table.

"I had already bought them when I heard you're home and sick. I'm sorry but I couldn't throw them away, they're clostly," he laughs.

"I was hoping I could rest and nurse myself. Can I get you a drink?"

"Please," he takes a seat.

"I don't think I'll be good company."

"I won't stay for long. I just wanted to see your beautiful face and hear your voice. I'm headed somewhere."

"Oh! That's so sweet of you."

"Can I get you flu medication? I really don't mind passing by the pharmacy when I get back," he says.

"That'll really help."

"Okay let me do this," he reaches for his wallet and takes out a few notes.

"And then?"

"Get yourself whatever you're craving. Order a coffee or whatever that'll make you feel better until I come back with the meds."

"So much money for coffee?"

"Coffee and other things. Come on Yoli don't be like this," he brushes the side of my face.

"Just so you know. This won't get you into my panties," I take the money.

"It's not your panties I'm after so relax."

"Of course you'll say that until you start thinking with your cock."

"Let me leave you to your silly thoughts," he kisses my forehead and leaves.

****

I'm with Bongani and we're having meat for lunch and a few cold beers. It's refreshing to unwind and it might bring me some fresh ideas about what to actually implement in my life.

"Please remind me to send you the money I owe you before we leave here," I say.

"Are you sure you're okay financially? I'm not in a rush for it," I haven't told him about the payout and I'm not sure if I should.

"My mother's policy came through with something to keep us pushing so it's fine. You helped me a lot and I appreciate it. I'm just happy that the charges got dropped and I don't have to worry anymore about going back and forth in court."

"Yeah. You need to focus now."

"Thandeka slept over last night," I take a sip of my beer.

"Already? I thought she was still angry."

"We're fine now but Yolanda is still ignoring me. I think I should go to her instead because I don't think she'll come."

"Considering how things ended between you two, it's understandable why she's ignoring you."

"But I can't just give up on her. I love her and she knows it."

"She knows it? You're not being serious right now," he shakes his head.

"What should I do then?"

"Show her that you mean it this time. You know what she loves so you have an advantage."

"Do you think I'm making a mistake by bringing both of them into my life?"

"I don't know."

"Thandeka gave in too soon. I think she's up to something."

"Women are always up to something. You just have to be careful," he says.

"Yolanda loves being outdoors. Maybe I should take her on a cruise at Harties. Plus she has always wanted to go."

"Can you afford it?"

"I need my women back so if I need to spend money then I'll do it."

"And you think Thandeka will be okay that you f*cked her without making effort?"

"I'll have my time with her. We'll still go out but right now I need to get Yolanda back."

"I'm sorry to say this but it makes Thandeka seem so cheap. I mean she gave it to you just like that. Something is fishy."

"Why do you always have to be so negative? What's wrong with having *** with someone you love?"

"I just hope she's not trying to fall pregnant and get Yolanda out of the way."

"Pregnant?"

"Did you even use protection?"

"No!" It's all starting to make sense.

"Oh well. I think you need to start budgeting for the nappies because she has you exactly where she wants you."
