I don't know how to feel about everything that is happening right now. The Diko family is here, and according to my sister, my future husband as well. I put away my plate and grab my car keys, and use the kitchen door to the garage. I get inside my car and drive out the gate, which is already wide open.

Mom is going to kill me for not telling her that I'm leaving already. My phone beeps a text from Dali. I didn't even know he had my number. We are not that close. He was just that guy I had a huge crush on, but then his friend was the one who claimed me, and if you knew Nzolo, trust me, it's not easy resisting his charm.

Lelam texts me that she's already at the car dealership. I drive off dancing along Beyoncé's upgrade. I park outside, getting my phone and ID card.
